Master Bedroom Mood Board Reveal!

Happy Monday!

This is our first mood board reveal together! As you can tell after seeing the house tour, we have our work cut out for us and I’m SO excited to get started.

If you haven’t seen the house tour quite yet, head over to my Instagram and check out my story highlight.

What I’m learning though, after being in the house for a few months is, it’s difficult to get going without a game plan. Maintaining, designing, and furnishing an entire house while also working full time is challenging and can very easily be over whelming.

Top of the priority list is getting our bedroom to a functional place. So, I’ve put together a mood board! This gives us something to work toward, a game plan and some inspiration. I love creating a mood board because it lets me dream about the finished product. These specific products are not all set in stone, but this is the vibe. Modern traditionalist at heart. I can’t wait to see it come to life!

When I think about what I want our bedroom to feel like I keep picturing warm, modern, yet traditional with a nod to nature and historic American design. I want to bring the colors from the outside in while also feeling luxurious!

Our bed was delivered quickly which I’m thrilled about but, there’s still a lot to do before we can put the mattress back in the bedroom.

  • Reinforce the old drywall where the original nail heads are popping out.
  • Spackle and prep the wall for paint
  • Replace the moldings and base boards
  • Prime and paint the ceiling, walls, and closet.

I mean this list isn’t long. Only 4 items but it’s a lot of work. This is just what needs to be done before we move our mattress back in there.

We will also be putting custom built-ins into the closet, changing the doors, and I’m pretty sure we’re going to put sconces up above each nightstand which is a detail I can’t wait for. Talk about luxurious.

Let me know your thoughts on the mood board in the comments! Would you change anything?

Until next time friends.
