Let’s Keep It Casual: Talking Winding Down Summer, Built-In Updates, and First Looks at Fall

The built-in project has commenced. I’m excited about this one—a little nervous, but mostly excited. There’s definitely a learning curve, but we’ll figure it out. I’m mostly nervous about the upper portion—not the build itself, but getting the scale just right. I don’t want the shelving to feel top-heavy. What are your initial thoughts? Any burning questions?

I can’t believe it’s end of summer. While we officially still have a few weeks left, vacations are coming to an end, and we’re all getting back into our routines. It’s bittersweet. Routines are good for us, fall is cozy and always welcome, but summer—summer is special. I hope you, like me, are savoring every moment, every outdoor event, summer concerts, and even my favorite, summer cherries 🙂.

I’m slowly wrapping my head around fall and have been browsing the new collections especially since the Labor Day sales have started up already. I placed an order for a few halloween finds at West Elm. I’m very excited about them and will keep you posted when I receive everything within a couple of weeks!
