How I’m Subtly Bringing Valentine’s into My Home

I love Valentine’s Day. A lot of people think it’s just a Hallmark holiday, but I see it as a day to show extra appreciation for the people you love. I’m not saying you need to buy a ton of chocolate and gifts—just little moments to show you care.

I’m a sucker for a good card for any occasion. It’s my love language.

This year, Leo and I are keeping it simple and staying in. He’s an excellent cook, so he’s making homemade bread, and we’re doing a wine and cheese tasting. And let’s be honest—there will definitely be dessert involved because… have we met?! Anyway, I digress…

To make the evening (and the season) feel a little more festive, I’m adding a few subtle Valentine’s touches to set the mood.

I found these beautiful pink spiral candlesticks—they add just the right pop of color. I also picked up some embroidered heart hand towels for the powder room. They’re plush, soft, and say “Valentine’s Day” at just the right volume.

But my favorite? The sweetest little candy dishes. I’ve always loved candy hearts—not because they taste amazing, but because they’re just so nostalgic.

What’s your favorite way to celebrate Valentine’s Day?

  1. Candy Heart Bowls 2. Citrus and Peach Rose Hand Soap 3. Blackberry Rose & Oud Candle 4. Pink Spiral Candlesticks 5. Dove Chocolate Hearts 6. Heart Towels
